E3

This is the Build log of our first E3 project.

This car is heavily modified. Only the outer shell of the car remains in its original shape.

Fire wall and tunnel are cut out and newly constructed further backwards to increase engine bay size for large inter-cooler and turbocharger as well as pushing the cars weight bias further towards the back.

E28 M535I rear sub frame and limited slip differential mounted to the modified rear underside of the car.

Front suspension and sub-frame is completely redesigned:

E36 rack and pinon power steering

adjustable chrome-molly track rods using plain bearings

wishbones are fully adjustable and constructed from chrome-molly steel and plain bearings

Modified E28 wheel bearing interface to accommodate the fully adjustable damper and coil-over assembly

newly designed interface for the wishbones and track-rods to connect to the wheel bearing.
